Updates on the house

So, Mike has been working crazy hard trying to get our living room and dining room redone. We're almost there! He finished all of the sheetrock, had some come and spackle everything last week, and then primed all the walls. So, now we get to do the exciting stuff! Painting, crown molding, new furniture! YIPPEE!!

Marciano's 40th Anniversary

This weekend was Mike's parents 40th wedding anniversary! WOO HOO for them! All of Mike's siblings got together and threw them a big surprise bash with all kinds of extended family coming in. Needless to say, they were quite surprised! I will never forget the reaction and noises from Mike's Mom. ;) She was clearly VERY surprised!! I think it was a great celebration and they hopefully really enjoyed!

Visting Liv in Seattle!

So, over Presidents Weekend I went to visit my sister Olivia in Seattle! We had a blast! I loved it out there. It was gorgeous with all the pine trees, mountains, water, etc, etc. Of course I wanted to do all the touristy things and Liv was thankfully game for it. ;) We did it all; Space Needle, Pike Place Market, yummy seafood, ferry, great parks, and lots more. It was so great to get away and have some fun sister time!! Here are a few pics...

Random thoughts...

It's been a pretty uneventful weekend, as I've been sick with a bad cold all weekend. YUCK. Mike continues to work on the house. Hopefully the spackle(sp) guy will come this week and take care of the dining and living room. Then we can start to think about fun things like paint, furniture, and all the jazz. ;)
Oh, more importantly on the pregnancy front, my best friend Annie in MO is pregnant as well! Were actually due 2 days apart. It's so great to have someone to compare notes with about everything we're feeling, experiencing, freaking out about. So much fun to come in the months ahead.
This week is a short work week for me as I head to visit my sister Olivia on Friday in Seattle! So thrilled to see Liv and a city I've never been too. So much to look forward too.
I'm all about the Grammy's tonight! My fav singer Adele is up for a bunch of awards. And my friend Melissa and I just got tickets to see her as well. YAY.

We're Having a Baby!!!

More exciting news! We're having a baby!! Mike and I are so thrilled!!I'm almost 13 weeks along and due on August 11th! I went to the dr. this week and everything is looking great! We could see the little goober's arms, legs, and head, plus hear the baby's heartbeat! Plus we could see the baby moving around as well. It gives me goosebumps! I'll definitely keep everyone up to date as we go along!! Below are a few pics. The first three are from this week. And the bottom one is from my first appt about a month ago.

His next project was the living room where he tore down paneling as well and put up new sheet rock and high-hat lighting. Needless to say our house is a construction zone!! ;) But I'm so happy to have such a talented hubby to make our house into what we dream about!
