Sunday Ritual

So, Mike has decided every Sunday morning for the most part, we'll go to the diner near us for breakfast. He says this is our version of going to church. ;) Well, Miss Giana chowed down on a pancake!! ;) At first I was giving her little bites. And then I just let her grab it and make a mess. But of course we forgot the camera! AHH!
She has also become quite the cuddle bunny. Whenever I go in to lay her down at night. She immediately lays her little head on my shoulder and I sing her a few songs. And then as soon as I put her into her crib she always grabs for her Baby. I love it. She is the same way in the morning as well. And she is getting so great at listening to stories I read her. She'll help turn the pages.
This weekend we had my friend take some pictures of her at the beach. I can't wait to see them! She was a little overwhelmed. It was 85 degrees out, didn't know what to think of the sand, etc. Then I took her to meet some of my friends at the beer garden. Start her young!! ;) HA!

Growing like CRAZY!!

So, Giana has had daily changes lately it seems!!! She went from crawling backwards, doing the army crawl forward, and now just regularly crawling!!! YAY!!! She is all over the place and Mike cannot take our eyes off her for a second!! She is also waving hi ans bye. It is so darn cute!! She is drinking from her sippy cup like no other! But she still likes it when I give her some water in a straw. She has been trying all kinds of new foods!!! Cheese(loves), Mango(spit up), watermelon(loves), kiwi(crazy face). I can't think of what else. She loves hearing us whistle and her favorite songs are Twinkle, Twinkle and Patty Cake. She cracks up every time I sing them. And she has been going crazy in her bath. She ends up dunking her face every time and just smiles. So, I'm hoping that is a good sign for our swimming lessons that start next wkd!! We have been playing outside lots. She really enjoys swinging. We ordered her a swing set which should be arriving anytime!! YAY!! All I can say is I just love every second with her!! She is just such an incredibly, happy, silly baby!! Wants to play peek-a-boo with Mommy all the time. She'll hide her face by putting it down or covering it with a blanket. And she'll sit and listen to me read a few books and help turn the pages. I'm very excited to have my first Mother's Day with my baby girl, my hubby and my parents will be here too!! So fun!!! Pictures to come soon!!

Happy 8 Months to our Baby Girl!

SO hard to believe Giana turned 8 months old this week!!! It is incredible how fast the time has flown. She is just changing every day. Her new thing is to help me turn the pages when we read books together. She also LOVES playing peek-a-boo with us. Will automatically put her head down and pretend she is hiding. She keeps trying and trying to crawl foward. She is SO, SO close and has inched forward a few times, but ends up just rolling around until she reaches what she wants. We have signed her up for Mommy and Me swimming lessons that start in a few weeks. Very excited to see how she reacts to the water. She loves bath time and doesn't mind at all when the water comes over her face. Have to get her ready for the beach!! She has been trying some new foods. She loves yogurt and little bits of mozzarella cheese. I still need to make some mango for her. She is such a great eater and pretty much scarfs up everything. We're still trying the sippy cup, but all she does is bite it. She hasn't figured out how to drink from it yet. In time. ;)
I feel like before we know it she will be 1! AHHH!

Great Weekend Outside

We had a great wkd here in NY. On Sunday it was so warm out, so we spent lots of time outside with Giana. Auntie Olivia and Uncle Chez got us a jogging stroller for Christmas and we got it out this weekend. So fun!! Get back into shape!! It's nice because by the time I get home there is still time to run with the jogging stroller up to the park with Giana so she can play. Love that summertime is on it's way!

Silly face!!
Getting ready to sneeze!

Love her!!! Eat her up!

Giana's First Easter

Giana's First Easter was great!! Mike and I actually colored some eggs for her and had an Easter Basket for her! We skyped with my parents so she could open her Easter basket from there. So fun!!! It's my new obsession and am so excited that they can see her more often!! ;) The Marciano Family's tradition is to watch Easter sunrise on the beach. An early morn!! This year was so much warmer than usual, but so foggy and you couldn't see a thing!

Slacking on the blog....

So, I haven't updated the blog in awhile. OOPS!! Time has been flying by! Miss Giana has continued to get sick off and on. And last week had a fever that went up to 103 and ended up having an ear infection. Poor baby girl! Hope she is on her way to healthy times now!! She continues to scoot backwards. She gets so frustrated b/c she cannot figure out how to move forward yet. She is trying to clap and high five. So fun!!! We've had such nice weather here and have a park just a few blocks away. She loves the slide and swings!! Now we have to find some for our yard. We've tried a few new foods. A few bites of mozzarella cheese in which she made a funny face. ;) Making mango this week for her. YUM! Giana is officially signed up for swimming!! We start in early May. Mike and I are both so excited. We'll both get to take turns going in with her.
Continues to LOVE her bath. And even cracks up when the water comes down over her face.
Playing in her exersaucer outside.

So, SO happy! Loves being outside!

Meeting the Easter Bunny- no smile...but no tears either. She didn't know what to think!

Enough hair to put bows in!!! YAY!!
