Slacking on the blog....

So, I haven't updated the blog in awhile. OOPS!! Time has been flying by! Miss Giana has continued to get sick off and on. And last week had a fever that went up to 103 and ended up having an ear infection. Poor baby girl! Hope she is on her way to healthy times now!! She continues to scoot backwards. She gets so frustrated b/c she cannot figure out how to move forward yet. She is trying to clap and high five. So fun!!! We've had such nice weather here and have a park just a few blocks away. She loves the slide and swings!! Now we have to find some for our yard. We've tried a few new foods. A few bites of mozzarella cheese in which she made a funny face. ;) Making mango this week for her. YUM! Giana is officially signed up for swimming!! We start in early May. Mike and I are both so excited. We'll both get to take turns going in with her.

These are some pics from our weekend in St. Louis a few weeks ago. We were home finding my sister Liv's wedding dress( SUCCESS!), celebrating my Mom's Bday and just hanging. It was a great time.

Auntie Sarah comes to visit!!

For the past 5 days we were lucky to have my sister Sarah here to visit us!! She and Giana got a special Auntie/Niece day together while Mike and I were at work. Of course, as soon as she came in, it poured for 4 days straight!! But, that didn't stop us from having a fabulous times!! Shopping, dinners, walks, picnic, lots of laughing! I miss her SO much already! Today was her last day here and it actually was sunny and warm! YAY! We took advantage and took Giana on her first picnic and walk on the trail. This weekend we also took Giana to a Gymboree class for the first time. She loved it!! They have all kinds of fun things to work on their development, all the while all the babies having a great time. Giana was loving all the babies. She just stared and stared. And they had bubbles which she was mesmorized with to. We'll be going back!! Now back to reality and work. :(

Lots going on!

Giana and I traveled to St. Louis last weekend to meet up with my family and help Olivia find her wedding dress. It was a success!! And we found Giana the most adorable flowergirl dress as well. Can't wait for July 18th!! Also got to see my friends, but unfortunately Annie's son Jack( 2 days younger than Giana) was sick and didn't get to come out. ;( Then Giana started getting sick on the plane ride back. Nothing like throwing up her entire bottle and a crazy poo diaper on the airplane. Poor baby! It's been a tough week for her!!Throwing up, coughing, runny nose, fever.The dr said it's a bad virus and we pretty much have to ride it out. She's slowly getting better.
On an up note, she has her second tooth!! And started saying Mama!!!! YAY! Not sure if she knows what she is saying, but I love, love hearing her say it!!
My sister Sarah is here visiting us for 5 days right now. So happy to have her here. She and Giana got a day together while Mike and I were at work. Special Aunt/Niece times. ;) Today Sarah and I took Giana to a Gymboree class. She loved it!! She was mesmorized with all the other babies there. We signed her up for a mini-session. They did so many creative, developmental activities for them.
Today we went to Crumbs Bakery and they have the most to-die-for HUGE, deliciously flavored cupcakes! Melt in your mouth! We just finished a caramel apple one and let Giana have a teensy taste of icing. She kept licking her lips. Too cute. http://www.crumbs.com/

Giana continues to change!!!

Just last night, when I was giving Giana her bath, she had another first. She went crazy splashing all over. Kicking her legs the entire time! Therefore, soaking her Mama, but I loved it! Mike and I are planning on doing Family Swimming lessons with her beginning in May. Hopefully this is a sign, she'll love them!
And she began crawling backwards last night. She went across the entire living room in record time! I was at home by myself, so I didn't get either one of them on video, sadly. So, I'm hoping she has a repeat tonight so I can capture it. Our Baby Girl is growing up SO fast!!!
